Gremlins keep on learning and having fun

Gremlins VS Dunsborough Sharks.
Saturdays match at Dunsborough saw a very well drilled Sharks side give the Gremlins a lesson in playing team football. Their strong attack on goal rattled the Gremlins in the first half as they were left a little shell shocked by the skill of their opponents.
There was some great defensive work from Addison Edward Smith, constantly covering ground to defend. Flynn Winstanly was another to defend strongly, He and Molly Quick both gave 100% all day, tackling hard, and winning lots of ball for their team. Molly won the Eagle Boys Pizza Award for her effort and strong approach at her much larger opponents.
Josh Lane’s return from holidays was marked with winning the SW Pets player award. Josh scored Gremlins only goal for the day and was our standout in attack.
It was good to see the Sharks play such a great team game. The Gremlins should learn from them that the way to score goals is through team play. The other ingredient is skill development so parents make 10 mins every couple of days for a kick around and we will see improvement.
A big thanks to the Atkinson girls for filling in, I’m sure Mira loves playing with you. Go Gremlins.
